In the mayoral by-election on August 25, 2024, Florian Meier (FBP) was elected the new mayor of Vaduz with 1,397 votes. The voter turnout was 52.15 percent. The election was necessary because Petra Miescher announced her resignation in May 2024.

The municipality of Vaduz is supporting those affected by the storms in Switzerland with donations totaling CHF 100,000.00 to the Liechtenstein Red Cross and the neighboring canton of Graubünden "Region Moesa".

From August 27, 2024, parents and children aged 3 and over are invited to a "Join in Play Day" on Tuesdays between 01.30 and 03.00 pm and on Thursdays between 09.00 and 10.30 am. Parents will receive practical information on how to prepare their children for kindergarden and school.

The municipality of Vaduz wishes all residents a happy National Day.

The garbage collection in Vaduz will be canceled on Thursday, August 1 and 15, 2024.

Due to a filming project, the Mühleholz skate park will be closed today, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 05.00 pm to 09.00 pm.

The election documents for the mayoral by-election scheduled by the Liechtenstein government for Sunday, August 25, 2024 will be sent out this week to the residents of Vaduz who are entitled to vote.
