Wastewater Department

The Wastewater Department inspects and monitors the rainwater basins, pumping stations, the wastewater pipe network and the collector sewers. The employees ensure that the value of the facilities in the municipal area and specially agreed structures in the municipalities of Triesen, Triesenberg and Balzers is maintained.

The wastewater from all Liechtenstein municipalities is treated in the Bendern WWTP. The wastewater association of the municipalities (Abwasserzweckverband, AZV) is responsible for its operation.
