Fire Ban Remains in Effect in Forests and Near Forests

Warning of High Forest Fire Risk: Since there has still been no significant rainfall and a prolonged dry spell continues, a fire ban remains in effect in and near forests!

Due to the ongoing sunny weather, conditions remain extremely dry. The situation is not expected to improve until after heavy rainfall. Brief rain showers or thunderstorms are not sufficient to alleviate the severe dryness.

Lighting open fires and smoking in the forest and near the forest therefore remain prohibited until further notice. Barbecue areas, including permanent ones, in the forest and near the forest (at a distance of at least 50 meters) may not be used. Smoking materials and smoldering objects must not be discarded.
