Pilot program using wooden cups to be expanded
Since last year, the municipality of Vaduz has been testing Arboloom cups made of wood veneer. This innovative cup solution is an eco-friendly alternative to conventional paper and plastic cups and offers a compostable option with a minimal environmental footprint—especially in places where a reusable system isn’t practical.
Based on these positive results, the pilot phase is now being expanded:
- In addition to the 4 dl size, 2 dl and 3 dl cups are now also available
- Non-commercial organizations in Vaduz can receive the cups free of charge in quantities tailored to their needs
- Event organizers in Vaduz can purchase the cups at a reduced price
Here’s why the Arboloom cup is a great choice:
- made from birch wood veneer
- free of adhesives and fossil-based materials
- biodegradable or thermally recyclable
- suitable for cold and hot beverages
The cups are available in packs of 60 for CHF 10.00 at Erlebe Vaduz.
