Start of construction of district heating and cooling supply in Äulestrasse
As part of the expansion of the district heating and cooling network, Liechtenstein Wärme will be laying new pipes in Äulestrasse in Vaduz between February and June 2026. The construction work will extend from the former post office building to the north of the art museum. The project will provide district heating and cooling to the entire center of Vaduz as well as properties owned by the Principality of Liechtenstein and the municipality of Vaduz.
Traffic management during the construction phase
Äulestrasse is a busy road and an important traffic junction. In order to minimize disruption, great importance is being attached to speedy construction and the shortest possible construction period. During the construction period, it will be ensured that motorized private transport, public transport, and pedestrian and bicycle traffic continue to function.
Motorized private transport
Traffic heading towards Schaan will be routed through the construction site in a single lane.
Traffic heading towards Triesen will be diverted via Lettstrasse, Rheinstrasse, and Zollstrasse. Access from the Adler roundabout will only be possible as far as the bus terminal and Städtle 28.
It is recommended to approach the center from the south.
Public transport
Buses heading towards Schaan will pass through the construction site in a single lane.
Buses heading towards Triesen will pass through the construction site in both directions. On weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., traffic will be regulated by traffic wardens. At night, on weekends, and on public holidays, traffic will be regulated by traffic lights.
Pedestrian and bicycle traffic
Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be maintained as far as possible during the construction period or diverted over a small area. Please observe the signage on site.
