Vaduz is expanding its public charging infrastructure for electric cars in the city center
The Municipality of Vaduz is working with Liechtensteinische Kraftwerke (LKW) to further expand the public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. A new fast-charging station with two charging bays is being built at the Städtle 28 parking lot. This will further promote sustainable mobility in Vaduz.
The location in the center of Vaduz is particularly well-suited for the new project due to its easy accessibility and existing public use. The fast-charging station complements the existing parking facilities while also enhancing the appeal of the city center for residents, visitors, and commuters.
The Municipality of Vaduz is responsible for the construction and electrical infrastructure work, including grid connection, civil engineering, electrical installations, and signage. Liechtensteinische Kraftwerke is supplying and operating the Alpitronic HYC 200 fast-charging system and will also handle maintenance and upkeep.
The project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2026.
