Schaanerstrasse will be fully open to traffic again starting May 8

The end of the 2025 swimming season marked the start of the redevelopment of the Mühleholz Sports and Recreation Area. After approximately seven and a half months of construction, the work has now been successfully completed.

The goal was to complete all construction work by the time the Mühleholz outdoor pool opened for the season, so that swimming operations could begin without any disruptions. This goal was achieved thanks to the efforts of all the companies involved—despite a one-month hiatus over Christmas and New Year’s.

Only a few remaining landscaping tasks in the peripheral areas are still pending. However, these will not affect traffic.

In parallel, the "narrow main roadway" pilot project is still underway on Schaanerstrasse in 2026. However, this will not cause any additional traffic disruptions.
