During construction work in the Landgasthof Mühle area, a turbine was found in the ground. This discovery was reported to the Office for Culture, which inspected and secured the site. It turned out that the turbine came from the former Jenny & Spoerry spinning mill hydroelectric power plant and must be preserved at the site. An archaeological display case will be erected for this purpose and will be open to the public in future.

In the mayoral by-election on August 25, 2024, Florian Meier (FBP) was elected the new mayor of Vaduz with 1,397 votes. The voter turnout was 52.15 percent. The election was necessary because Petra Miescher announced her resignation in May 2024.
